KVA Interns & Mentors
Internships are open to any student wishing to work in the horse industry, either part time or full time. These internships are designed to train students to become barn staff, stable managers, grooms, and youth instructors, while introducing them to long-term equine career paths.
Program Goals
Our goal with this program is multifaceted. Through structured training and hands-on experience, we aim to:
Provide job opportunities for young adults aged 16 and up
Deliver trained, professional support to horse owners and local barns
Offer management training and real-world leadership experience for future employees
Develop future instructors and equine entrepreneurs by introducing scalable and achievable career pathways within the horse industry
Mentorship Opportunities
As students advance through the internship program, mentorship opportunities may become available.
Paid mentorship positions are offered to qualified students who demonstrate the ability to manage the stable independently.
Mentors must be at least 16 years of age and have their own transportation.
