Horsin’ Around All Summer Long!

Please check back for our summer plans!

Summer 2023 Registration is coming soon!

Introduction to Horsin’ Around Camp:

For students who have not attended KVA Classes

This camp is open to anyone of any level who has not attended a KVA class yet. Various instructors will meet the students where they are ability wise. Students will work on horsemanship skills - leading and handling the horses, grooming, tacking properly, health care and nutrition. Riding skills will also be addressed - proper use of seat and leg aids, proper use of reins, balance and coordination. Participants will also learn about parts of the horse, colors, etc. Students will play games and make horsey crafts, too.

Students will be required to wear long pants, shoes with a small heel, and bring a water bottle.

Cost: $200 per week (Discounts available through South Middleton Township for residents)

Times: 8:30 am - 12:30 pm, Monday through Thursday

NOTE: Please confirm that your child can attend camp prior to registering. Refunds and exchanges are NOT available due to limited openings

King’s Student Horsin’ Around Camp

For students who have completed KVA Intermediate classes

This camp is designed to strengthen and build on skills learned during the Intro, Intermediate or Advanced Horsemanship class. Because this camp will be taught by multiple instructors, students can be grouped according to ability and skill level. Students must be able to ride an Intro level dressage test prior to attending this camp. While at camp, students will be challenged to ride different horses, ride on different terrain, and build balance and communication with the horses. Vet topics will be discussed and emergency first aid will be practiced.

Students will be required to wear long pants, shoes with a small heel, and bring a water bottle and a helmet.

Cost: $200 per week

Time: 8:30 am - 12:30 pm

NOTE: Please confirm that your child can attend camp prior to registering. Refunds and exchanges are NOT available due to limited openings

Is your child a past participant in a King’s View Acres program?

If so, they may be eligible to advance into a MENTOR/VOLUNTEER level. Any student who has completed one year of our Horsin’ Around Program and has demonstrated the maturity and knowledge to help others, may participate in this program.

Your child has never shown interest in horses?

The Horsin’ Around program is for ALL youth, not just horse lovers.  Many students have started our program without specific interest in horses.  All of these students had an excellent time and ended the program with a higher sense of self and a unique partnership with a horse.  Many are repeat attendees!

We are so much more than a riding stable!
