Summer Lessons at KVA…
Summer is a great time to introduce your child to horseback riding at King’s View Acres. Our Summer Intro A Program meets one day a week for 90 minutes. We will teach your children to safely work around the horses, handle them with authority, and begin riding. Classes must have a minimum of 4 students to run. Sign up below. Pay as you go - $45 per lesson payable at the time of the lesson by check or cash.
Summer is a great time for King’s View Acres graduates to enrich the skills they gained throughout the school year. Group lessons are available when camps are not in session - specific dates are available on a first come first served basis. Sign up for one lesson or many. Each lesson costs $45. Payment is expected at time of service by cash or check.

Camp Details:
Beginner Camps: Open to students aged 6 through 16, no prior experience needed.
Advanced Camps: Exclusively for current or former KVA students who have completed a full 9-month lesson program.

Half-Day Beginner Horsemanship Camps: $300
Full-Day Returning Student Camps: $400

Beginner Horsemanship Camp
Open to all ages and experience levels, but designed for beginners.
Beginner Horsemanship Camp is open to riders of all levels who have not yet attended a KVA class. Our experienced instructors will meet students at their skill levels, focusing on horsemanship skills such as leading and handling horses, grooming, proper tacking, health care, and nutrition. Riding skills, including the proper use of seat, leg aids, reins, balance, and coordination, will also be addressed. Participants will learn about horse anatomy, coat colors, and more while enjoying fun activities like games and horse-themed crafts. Students are required to wear long pants and shoes with a small heel and should bring a water bottle and a packed lunch.

KVA Returning Student Camps
For students who have completed a full year of programs at King’s View Acres—or with special permission from KVA instructors.
Our KVA Returning Student Camps are designed for an interactive and imaginative week of horsemanship, riding, and learning. These camps are open to students who have completed a full year of programs at King’s View Acres, or those who have received special permission from KVA instructors. Students who have not attended a full winter program at KVA must schedule an evaluation ride before registering. Participants will be required to wear long pants, shoes with a small heel, and bring a water bottle, a packed lunch, and a helmet.
