Clinics
Ellen offers clinics for all types of groups such as Boy Scouts, Girl Scouts, 4H Programs, adults and children. These clinics range in content and could include but are not limited to:
Dressage basics
Mental health
Parenting with horses
General horse care
Lunging
Dressage for jumpers
On-site Lessons
Our facility is mostly a lease/board barn. Because of this, we have a limited number of lessons that we are able to offer with our own horses.
If you have your own horse, you are welcome to schedule a lesson on them and trailer-in to our facility.
Lessons & Riding Program
Lessons are an integral part of the King’s View Acres program and are included in shareholder agreements, but not boarder agreements. Boarders must schedule and pay for lessons individually.
Program Expectations:
Boarders and Shareholders participate in regular, scheduled lessons
Instruction focuses on correct horsemanship, not just riding
Riders are expected to be engaged, respectful, and open to learning
Boarders and shareholders may schedule lessons with Dan Roser directly at a time that suits Dan and the shareholder/boarder. No other instructors may be scheduled without Ellen’s approval.
Arena Use:
Lessons and program activities have priority
If you schedule a lesson with a clinician, please notify Alexis and we will put it on the calendar.
Calendar will show scheduled lessons and if the arena may be shared or not.
Each person must contact the clinician directly unless Ellen/Alexis have advertised a clinic.
Riders must follow arena etiquette and safety rules
Pass left hand to left hand
Clean up manure, poles, etc after each ride.
Stirrup adjustments, etc. should take place in the middle of the arena- allowing for free travel around the arenas
Shared space requires awareness and communication
Anyone not riding safely will be asked to leave the arena.
Off-site Lessons
Not able to come to Ellen? Don’t worry, Ellen will come to you! Ellen is able to travel anywhere for off-site lessons. She offers excellent, theory-based dressage instruction in the comfort of your own arena.
Price will include travel fees and vary student to student.
